Post 5 - New Vocabulary

Advisor 顾问
Definition: to talk with some in order to decide what should be done.
Sample sentence: I don't know go to which college, I need to talk advisor with my teacher.

Appropriate 适当
Definition: correct or especially suitable.
Sample sentence: Her very appropriate do this job.

Attitude 态度
Definition: the opinions and feelings that you usually have about something.
Sample sentence: she's friendly and has a good attitude.

Colleague 同事
Definition: someone you work with, especially in a profession or business.
Sample sentence: I told my colleagues work together.

Cover letter 求职信
Definition: Is a you send a letter to accompany your resume when you apply.
Sample sentence: I send a cover letter to apply my job.

Co-worker 合作者
Definition: a person who shares a workplace with anther person.
Sample sentence: My coworker and I went on a business trip.

Criticism 批评
Definition: the act of giving your opinion or judgment about the good and bad qualities of someone. Sample sentence: In this job you need to be able to take criticism.

Novice 初学者
Definition: someone who has no experience in a skill.
Sample sentence: he's a novice cooking.

Flexible 灵活
Definition: that can bend easily without breaking.
Sample sentence: this computer program has to be flexible to meet all our needs.

Salary 薪水
Definition: fixed regular payment to employees doing other than manual.
Sample sentence: employees receive an annual increase in salary.

Wages 工资
Definition:money you earn that is paid according to the number of hours, days, or weeks that you work. Sample sentence: Both of them make decent wages.
